Stan and Ollie

What a wonderful film, not over sentimental and with some lovely scenes of the comedy of Laurel and Hardy.
Steve Coogan was convincing as Stan, but for me, John C Riley WAS Ollie, he looked so much like him.

We went to see Stan and Ollie too.
Don’t particularly like Steve Coogan but loved the film. I felt so sad for them having been such big stars and what they had come to at the end. Poor Stan kept on writing material for them for 8 years after Ollie died.
When I was a child in the early 70’s their films were still regularly shown on Saturday morning TV and I always enjoyed them.

I can't wait to see this. I was supposed to go Friday with my dd but ive not been well all weekend, so hopefully by Wednesday next week we will have been..my dad loved laurel and hardy, and my dd watched them all the time too when he looked after her as a small child. She called them lardy and hardy. So we are going together to enjoy the film and remember my dear departed Dad, who would've come with us too I'm sure x

We went on Saturday.
I'm not a lover of 'Slapstick' humour or Steve Coogan for that matter but my DH wanted to see it. Good film with good acting. Worth a watch.

We went to see it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the highlights for us were the wives. They were a double act themselves
