Marriott Manchester Airport

Well after a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, we (that is I) have finally decided on the Marriott for our overnight stay at Manchester Airport. I had originally booked a package with the Radisson including parking and executive lounge but as the price no longer includes breakfast, no beer in the lounge until 5 etc I decided it was not worth the cost. I then booked a Premier Inn and was going to book parking separately but then was looking at the Marriott and like the look of the spa and restaurant there.

So I have booked the Marriott thinking I read there was a shuttle bus to the terminal from the hotel. The information has come through and you park in a multi-storey near Asda (!) and get a shuttle to the hotel from there and have to make your own way to the terminal in the morning. Has anyone done this - do you just get a taxi and would appreciate views on the car park. I have booked a fully flexible rate so can cancel with no cost.

They stopped the shuttle to the airport years ago, they will call a taxi for you. We've only parked at the Marriott itself so can't comment on the new car parking arrangements
