Mobile Uber car seat - availability

Hi,
We will be using UberX Car Seat and the Lyft equivalent in September for the entire trip.
Has anyone any experience of the availability of this category. We would hate to be stuck somewhere because there is only one in the fleet!

Thanks,

No experience. We are having a car because of this reason cos we would need two car seats and I didn’t think it would be likely

We are in the same boat with a 3 years old and 18 month old. Uber Car Seat only provide 1 so we are taking one with us.
Not willing to get a car this time as Cabana Bay want to charge us $20/night including tax to park!

Have a 3 and 4 year old but didn’t want to lug car seats round. Couldn’t work out what I would do with it once I got to the mall etc. We on I drive so no charges to park at hotel but gonna cost £25 Disney parking when we go.

S*** scared of driving too and think hubby is but think I just gotta get over that

We are renting a double buggy that oldest son won’t use in the day so car seat will sit in spare seat as we wheel around our daytime destination.
We just want the double buggy for citywalk of a night so 3 year old has somewhere to sit down or sleep in addition to his 18 month old brother. We can then stroll back along the garden path to Cabana Bay.

Don’t worry about the driving. It is so so easy. Takes about 10 mins to get used to the car as you leave the airport then not half as stressful as UK.

I’m not a Brilliant driver tho. Passed first time 2 minors no idea how I managed to do that tho as I am a very panicking driver. I tend to over think and hesitate a lot. Hubby is a better driver and that’s why I want him to do all the driving but I’ve been told I gotta share ☹️
Might be risking it a bit but I’m not taking a pram at all. I’m gonna see how the first day or so goes and if we need one like I suspect we might get one from Walmart. Kids will be 3y6m and 4y10m so I’m hedging my bets. Problem is when they see the castle they wouldn’t want to be in the pram and I don’t wanna be just stuck with it. Would have definitely got one right way if they were younger.
Wish I could help you on the Uber but I’ve never been in one. Think it was meers taxi last time I webt

Hi, we went in September 2018 and used Uber family several times with no issues. You have to select Uber family to ensure you get a car seat, there are therefore fewer vehicles around to select but we never waited more than 20 minutes. On one occasion we did have to select Uber family xl (slightly more expensive as it’s a bigger car) just because there were no standard Uber family’s around to select but we were never stuck. The standard of car seats were generally ok, some better than others but did the job. Hope that helps

That’s brill thanks. We will need to do a little planning ahead, but worth the saving compared to having a car.
