resorts with refurb planned for 2020?

Just idly looking at prices this year ( as you do when you have nothing planned ) and I see Carribbean Beach is greatly reduced with free nights for 2019 due to lots of building work going on and food courts closed
I can't go this year but if there's an offer like this next year I would be up for it - is there a report anywhere of planned building works on Disney Resorts so I can start to look at what might be at a reduced rate next year?

It hasn't started yet but SSR is having a very big refurb starting soon.

That will take 2 years at least so certaintly 2020 and maybe even into 2021.

The prices isn't discounted due to building work and closed food court as all the building work has finished and the food court is open - it was all complete at the start of October.

The only building work is the Skyliner Station and the Riviera resort across the lake, but all the heavy construction for that has finished. Both of those will be finished this year and really aren't impacting on people.

Historically, CBR has always had a good free nights discount, so it's not something new at all.

If you look on the Disney holiday site it says there is construction and noise and the food courts are closed. That's for May 2019

Yes, I know what it says, but it's not right. Disney haven't updated that statement since the building work for Old Port Royale, Centretown, Sebastian's and Cabana Banana finished on 8th October 2018. It's 100% finished and open. There are lots of YouTube tours of it that you can have a look at. Here's one:

The only current work taking place at CBR is the Skyliner which is not intrusive. The heavy construction for the Riviera resort over the lake is also finished and they're working on the interiors. Both will be finished this autumn.

Disney paid out LOADS in compensation when the building work at OPR and Centretown started, so my guess is that they're covering their backs to avoid it happening again. Why they haven't removed the bit about the food court being closed, I have no idea.

CBR is always had a bigger free nights discount than POR/FQ as traditionally it's been the least popular, so they discount it more to make it more attractive. It's 100% nothing to do with the construction. Whether this will be the case in years to come, remains to be seen, but with all the refurb work they've done and the direct link to EP and HS with the Skyliner, possibly not.
