Can anyone help please. I'm looking for a nice hotel in New York preferably central that's not going to cost an arm or a leg. Tia

We stayed this summer at Hyatt House New Jersey. It was fab. Great location, lovely breakfast, walking distance from a mall with a cheesecake factory. It's only 5 minutes on the underground (outside hotel) TO WTC. Would highly recommended. The views from that side of the river are iconic.

We are stayinh st Pod time sq in feb. It is a central location and gets really good reviews. It is also cheap by NY standard but rooms are super small. We are staying in a large 2 bed pod pad. 😊

We stayed at the broadway plaza which we loved, walking distance from Times Square, Macy’s, the high line, the flat iron, rockerfeller and Empire State to name a few!

We are here at the moment and staying at Hampton Inn Times Square South. Good location, close to times square but in a quiet side street. Breakfast is included, no resort fees and free tea, coffee and hot chocolate available all day. It's lovely to come back and get a lovely hot chocolate to take back to the room. Definitely can recommend 👍

Fan to hear someone else has experienced Hyatt House New Jersey I’ve just booked as we are a family of 5 and it’s so much cheaper and larger than staying in Manhattan.

Can I ask about taxi transfers from JFK (if you did thatJ just in case you have any recommendations please? I know that’s the only downside with staying in New Jersey - thanks

Cheaper hotels tend to be the Hampton inns / they include brekkie most of the time. Stayed in 35th empire one last time and have booked next door Hilton garden inn 35th Street for this year. I have always looked at hotels.com Expedia , trivago , booking.com to name a few and the Hamptons consistently come up well as does the broadway plaza and sometime the best western on 36th. I monitor ny hotels for months on end and these hotels are mainly because they have brekkie which we like and saves us about 60 /70 dollars a day. stay clear of the Pennsylvania ( such bad reports from friends and trip advisor ) despite its cheap price and good location
Holiday inn express sometimes comes up cheap too
When you say cheap so you have a budget in mind. ?
