Universal ticket discount with annual pass

My friend is purchasing annual passes as she is going this year and 2020, I am watching universal prices for when we go in October, she’s read she can get discounts on further tickets and hotel stays, does anyone know if I’d be able to purchase mine using her discount, and what the discount might be, thanks

This is from my annual pass benefits page :

15% off multi-day theme park admission tickets purchased at the front gate (Up to 6 tickets per transaction per day; not valid on Universal Express™ passes, or tickets with Universal Express™)

You would need her to check if they have expiry dates though - something in my memory is telling me they might expire two weeks after purchase but I can't find the info.

Thanks very much, so it sounds like the discount wouldn’t apply to tickets bought before we go only purchased at the gate?

Definitely only at the gate, it's designed to give discount if the pass holder has friends/family joining them at the park. That's why alarm bells are ringing with me about a possible expiry date being attached to them. Best to check at guest relations to be sure.
