I’ve been wondering this as to why people need to have their phones out in the loo or for that matter out close to water. I can just about understand if in public toilets and it’s in trouser pocket and accidentally fell out but other than that whyhave your phone out anywhere near a loo

When people are having an affair it's the only place they can message without raising concern with their significant other.

Well that's one reason anyway, and it's certainly better than taking it for the camera

A lot of people keep their phone in their back pocket, forget it’s there then pull their trousers down and the phone is straight down the toilet! Happened to me and others I know as well!

I dropped my 6s down the loo, I left it in a Tupperware with rice for 3 days and it was fine.

Eta the phone was in my pocket.

Also eta it was like torture but I just left it for the 3 whole days, I didn’t keep switching it on to see if it was working yet.
