Netflix - The Staircase

Now I’m done with my very belated attempt at studying for my maths GCSE, I’m free to binge watch. I’ve chosen The staircase, watched one episode and I’m hooked. It has been compared to Making A Murderer, and for now at least I can see why that comparison has been made. So heads up to anyone who liked ‘Making a Murderer’ you might like this.

I'm 2 episodes in now - I'm intrigued but I keep falling asleep so I had to watch ep2 in bed this morning after DH went to work (he leaves at 5) so that we can both do 3 tonight.

Not quite Making a Murderer for me but still good.

One that did have me hooked recently was The Keepers (also Netflix) - I watched all of that in one weekend.

We watched first episode last night,I heard that it had good reviews. Looking forward to watching second one tonight once kids are in bed 😁

They gave a lot away in the advert, I’ll watch it but I’m not sure what else will happen when they gave so much away!

I didn’t watch the advert even, I just clicked on it at random. Glad I didn’t now.

I am nearly finished with the staircase and to be honest, I’m disappointed. I have listened to a podcast before about this story, and this program is a very one sided account.

There are a few major elements to the prosecution case that have just been skimmed over, and some very bizarre claims which (unless they are mentioned in the last episode or two) shouldn’t have been left out.

I would recommend watching it first, and then doing some googling!

Have you seen 'Evil Genius' quite an extraordinary documentary, again in the Making a Murderer role.
You wouldn't want the subject as a wife. Documentary starts when a pizza delivery worker goes into a bank with a bomb locked around his neck. The police get him and he says he's been kidnapped and the bomb is on a timer. They don't seem to take the risk seriously until the bomb starts beeping. Quite horrible, but what a bizarre story.

I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone yet to watch but what do people think? Did he do it? In the beginning I thought he did, then I didn’t and then I did again.
