She gets much faster broadband that we do and she is with Plusnet too. I don’t expect that BT will do anything about the equipment, lines etc so we will have the same problem whoever is our broadband supplier.
Hmm that’s interesting, we’re in a new(ish) build house - just over 5 years old. We are 0.4 miles from our nearest exchange point. We had no trouble at all in the 3 years we had BT, only switched cos it was so much cheaper with Plusnet and someone told me that they were basically BT rebranded. The problem has got a lot worse over the past few weeks, much worse upstairs which makes my favourite time sucker of watching stupid Youtube videos in bed a chore! At least I’m going to bed earlier!

Will be going back to BT and sucking up the increased costs when our contract with Plusnet ends I think.

Interesting to read this as I am having similar problems with Plusnet. I’m 1000m from the exchange, so best connection is often only 18Mbps, currently getting between 0 and 8. Plusnet customer service is ridiculous. Luckily am out of contract so currently investigating the best alternative.

I’m getting this happen too, on both my iPad and phone. Only noticed it when I’m on the Dibb, but that’s probably where I spend most of my time online.

We’re with BT too, so it’s reassuring to know it’s happening to others.

I've also seen it a couple of times at home when on theDIBB. I haven't seen it when accessing other websites - and I do access other sites, but the DIBB is the only forum-based website that I routinely look at. I'm also on BT Fibre and using an iPad.

Reloading the page usually fixes the issue so it's a very minor 'problem'. I wouldn't usually mention it.

The problem seems to have been fixed now. It has been fine for the last 2 hours. Terrible all weekend though.

According to the BT fault page the issue was in London Docklands which happens to be where theDIBB server is located.
