Mmm. I used to do 7 x 12 hour shifts, more like 15 hours with travelling. I still wouldn't countenance a tree until 2 weeks before Xmas. More like 1 week if I had my way.

Not that it matters and it's up to you but that would still only make it early December!

It will be the 15th December at the earliest when ours goes up but then it will stay up for the whole of Christmas and come down around 12th night.

Sorry that sounded grumpy,

Lovely tree by the way!

Each to their own I say!

I normally wouldnt put mine up until december 10th but ive had ill health lately and thought it would cheer me up. Its a tough time of year for me anyway because my mum spent her last few weeks in hospital at chirstmas. She loved christmas haha and would put hers up at the start of november haha I used to call her crazy!

When my kids were tiny I couldn't want and the tree went up on the 1st December, but now I won't entertain a Christmas tree until mid December. I'm bored of it after a couple of weeks, in fact I'm bored of Christmas by the time it arrives when it starts this early!

All different when you have teenies of course, their excitement and little faces is a completely different story and I could never get enough of that.
