How is everyone doing with their braces? I’m now 5 months in with my traintracks. My bottom teeth have straightened up really quickly but I can’t see much happening with my top teeth yet. My bottom teeth were worse though, one stuck forward. I don’t know if I need them bonded or filed once it’s done to make them seem less chipped.

I guess they will use IPR to file your teeth level? Great that your bottom teeth have straightened so quickly!

I had a false start, my aligners were made incorrectly and didn't fit so had to start again. I had 2 extractions on 18th Feb and started then, I'm on set 5 hoping to go into set 6 tomorrow. No attachments yet but power ridges built into aligners. 28 trays to start I go in may for revision.. probs will end up getting attachments then. I definitely will need IPR. So far cant see any changes (other than big extraction gaps!) But flossing is much easier. Not many people have noticed, probs as I have no attachments yet.
Fingers crossed it works... I feel like I dont have enough teeth now though, I'm all gaps!

Ooh how was your extractions? I had to have a wisdom tooth out in November just after I had the braces on and the front of my face is still numb!

That doesn't sound good! What have they said about numbness?
One tooth came out no problem but the other wasnt fully erupted and was behind another tooth, it took 1hr 20 mins to come out, it was horrendous tbh.

Yeah mine was totally buried and they had to remove some of my jaw bone to get it out. They’ve said it could take up to a year for the feeling to come back or it could also be permanent.

How is everyone doing on their straight teeth journeys? I'm 5 months in and seeing changes, all my spiky little gaps have gone, the gap where my canine is partially erupted and set back has been made bigger ready for them to pull it down on my 2nd set of trays, I look awful with the braces out!.
I'm on invisalign tray 16 of 28 in the first round.

I’ve got my clin check appointment a week on Monday. Finally taken the plunge at 31. I can’t wait to have them and get on with it all!

I’m thinking of getting Invisalign at the moment. Have a complicated mouth to say the least and was told a few years ago that I wouldn’t be a suitable candidate for orthodontics. But apparently there have been developments in orthodontics that now make it possible so am now in the middle of trying to decide if I can justify the cost.
I’ve been quoted €3,600 - which is approx £3,200 by my DS’s ortho - special deal because DS is already receiving treatment from him.
