Eric is amazing! How can he be over 100?!
There was a guy on Nadiya’s Party Feasts who was 94 and we were stunned enough at his Spritely nature, but Eric is something else. What a lovely man

I went for strictly Christmas edition, Home alone, a bit of BFG and just finished watching the ABC murders. Got click and collect recorded so will definitely watch that over the weekend. I have been so lazy today and even had a snooze! Much needed though and rarely do I have a day to do just nothing.

Back to work tomorrow, looking forward to seeing our patients and back to the diet... not so much looking forward to the salad!

Off duty next week though so will have plenty of time for a lazy day.
Thanks everyone. X

Just watched cLick and collect ... quite funny and enjoyed it.

Been plenty of times when I’ve been trying to source the illusive hard to find present. Never driven to Carlisle for it though!

That’s got to be the worst section of programs and movies ever picked for Christmas Day. I only watched the queen and some of the Christmas bake off.

We haven't watched much - basically what we normally watch - Strictly, Bake Off, Only Connect and University Challenge!

I did watch an amazing programme on iPlayer with Darcey Bussell about the effect of dance on mental health, which had me in tears. Also Howard Goodall's 'The Truth about Carols' as I love his programmes, and the Victorian bakers programme.

We've recorded the Jungle Book but haven't watched it yet.

Zog was another nice little animation in the tradition of BBC on Christmas Day.

EDIT: just finished now - I have seen it several times before but I love "The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists". It was on BBC1, may be on iPlayer. Utterly hilarious Aardman animation with great voices (David Tennant, Martin Freeman, Hugh Grant among others). It's a riot of silly jokes and too good to be just for kids. Great soundtrack too.

To be honest though, we have so many other things to do that we don't bother much with telly!

I found the ABC Murders a bit slow - hope it improves

We enjoyed watching Mary Poppins together on Xmas eve, we’d been to see Mary Poppins returns on the 22nd and it was fun to compare the two (Dick Van Dyke looks remarkably similar to Mr Dawes Senior!)
We’ve seen Pirates! In an adventure with Scientists hundreds of times but it’s such laugh. I was surprised that Trolls (which my partner refused to see at the cinema!) was laugh out loud funny throughout. Still need to finish Watership Down (it’s one of my favourite books and while the animation isn’t great, the voice acting is brilliant) and watch Call the Midwife. I love Miriam!
