We also booked direct flights to Miami with BA 24th Dec- 5th Jan for 2 adults and 1 teen. Really happy with the £417pp which includes luggage. We paid a bit more for 9.15am flight as we are driving straight to Naples and want to hit the supermarket before they close for Xmas.

Yes we are. Planning to spend Christmas Day on the beach😀 The fireworks are at 7pm on NYE at Naples. Have a look at Pussycat Doll’s currently trip report as she was in Naples for New Year.

BA have some OK'ish direct flights at the moment. e.g. £558 Direct LHW-MCO 14/12 - 28/12 inc. luggage.

If these dates don't suit, it may be worth checking other dates.

Morning all
I think I may be being a bit thick but ... I have been waiting for my dates to open up 21st Dec to 4th Jan, MAN to MCO.
I have just been on to VA website and at this point it will let me book 21st out up to 23rd return. Having a 'mess around' and it tells me that all economy seats on the 21st are sold out!
How can this be right when there is only return dates for 2 days later!
Do people book just outbound? I hope some of that makes sense and that someone can give me some clarity!
So confused
Julie

It does look as though the direct flight maybe has sold out but there are indirect flights available

Not sure if this helps anyone but Kenwood Travel have some good bargains at the moment. Yesterday I booked 2 weeks at the Rosen Inn at Pointe departing from gatwick with virgin on 30/11/19 for 2 adults and 2 children it was £2101 which was basically £525 per person which I thought was really good

Just booked our flights last night!
3 adults 2 children. 24/12 to 6/1, Gatwick to Tampa, with upgraded car (Ford Explorer) £2008.
Flying with BA flydrive, so paid just £300 deposit.
So excited we will be waking up on Christmas Day in Florida!
Kids will miss 1st day back at school, but for that price we will live with it.
Now to work out how to get to Gatwick airport and back as we live nowhere near! Usually fly from Manchester.
