The shelf/cupboard is my favourite difference about being up there.
The curved windows is a downside if you like looking at the ground as you take off or land.

Bubble for us everytime love the quieter cabin and dibbers row is great for a good sleep on the way back, something that sadly won't be available too much longer as Virgin eventually retire the 747s.

We have managed to bag the exit row seats in the bubble both ways in September. This cost us an extra £59 pp for each leg. Consensus is that the extra cost for these seats is worth it. I guess it all comes done to cost v benefit?

It does come down to cost vs benefit, and the fact that for each of us that is a different personal decision.

We loved the bubble, paid £28 extra each for economy seats there and I would pay again. It was very quiet up there and the service from the crew was excellent as there are less guests up there.

We did the bubble out, and wish we'd done it back again lol
Although there's no difference in terms of seat comfort, having the storage cupboard was a big plus (for various Ipads, ipods, games console, bags etc), it was also much quieter than downstairs which I now wish we'd had on the way back. I would book it again without a doubt

Trying for More Ears

I have done the bubble once with DW, we done it on the return flight and where the final row of PE. It was great as the exit doors where behind us so chair was all the way back. It is the only time I have properly slept on a flight for 6 and half hours too. We done it for experience as these 747's aren't going to be around forever and is now a tick on the list. Would I book those seats again yes I would .

The bubble is not for me. Too claustrophobic and often way too warm.

The bubble are the only seats I would pay extra for, seems much more relaxed and I think the service it more personnel
