New Japan Tourist fee

For those who are travell to Japan this year onwards.

The Japanese government has introduced a 1000yen tourist fee, which is added to your plane or boat ticket if you are staying in the country beyond 24hrs

Thanks for this. We have paid for our flights already so not sure if we will have to pay but at the end of the day it’s only just over Ł7 extra if we use our Halifax Clarity card.

it does say that using a ticket issued before 7th jan is exempt. Ill find out in 7 months

You should be exempt as I don’t see them asking for the money at the gate
