This was my big fear, posted on here a long time ago I think, when I heard they were allowing amendments online.
They should allow 2 amendments then charge. Otherwise everyone will be walking everything in 10 years.
Of course, all current owners will have an equal crack at Riviera, but I'm far from convinced about its location.

Yes I’m really not impressed with the amount of walking of reservations that’s going on, it’s ridiculous and DVC should be doing more to prevent it, it’s not fair and it’s not in the spirit of the whole thing, I think it’s disgusting

I agree with you totally, but until they do stop it, sadly I (and I’m sure others for the same reason), am joining in with the walking - if you can’t beat them, join them.

Sadly even walking isn’t guaranteed, as apparently last year DVD all of a sudden took AKV rooms (I believe it was concierge studios) out of the system at one point, meaning those walkers could no longer do so.

I’m prepared to put some graft in if there is a particular date/room I want (thankfully most of the time I’m flexible), but I’m already expecting to struggle next Christmas, as like you, I have a December use year and that means further complications when trying to walk over a year end - because of UY I’m already more or less blocked out of the concierge studio at AKV that I want, as I realistically can’t walk as early as those with a use year earlier in the year - feels so frustrating when you are talking about a booking almost two years away!

I wish they’d stop walking so that everyone has an equal chance at 11months, but many feel closing the loophole will cause more problems than it solves? I don’t know ☹️

I’ve decided to book 3 nights in 1 bed theme park view and then book the last night in a lake view. Then at 7 months I shall have to try my luck at switching the lake view to a theme park view or waitlist it and see what happens. Not ideal by any means but it’s my only option.

I’m just so angry, the nature of DVC these days is that you have to plan well in advance but then they make that impossible by actioning major changes to the points allocations. They really need to start releasing points charts earlier so people can plan more effectively, especially if they are going to continue to make such major changes to points requirements within certain categories.

I think I’ve sent you a pm (although not 100% sure it went through) 😂
