Air Transat fly on the 6th May via Toronto for £303 - which would give you a couple of days to explore Montreal! It is a lovely city!

No Brexit worries for us - we’ll be in Malaysia when/if we leave. It is what it is.

Looked at doing this in the opposite direction to meet cruise at Quebec City. Delta fly to Montreal from all 3 NYC airports so you can link flights through virgin. I think LGA departure was cheapest but as a through route LHR-EWR-YUL worked for us, staying in Montreal for a couple of nights before taking a train to meet the cruise. I would presume this would work in reverse. AMTRAK was also an option but this takes 10.5 hours.

One way flights arw not always expensive. We had points to use for our return from Seattle with Virgin so i looked at a one way london to Vancouver and got what i think was reasonable wirh Air transat for the 3 of us at £800 including baggage, seats etc.

I agree but it does depend on the route and airline. We’re flying one way from Rio de Janeiro to Manchester (via Lisbon) in November and got it for a very reasonable £264pp.

Or if you didn’t mind driving/flying to Toronto, there is an evening departure on 4th May at 19:40 for £266 (plus bags).

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and suggestions.

We are now looking at an Alaska cruise with a tour of Denali NP. So the other side of the continent but easier and cheaper to get to and from.
