Car Hire Cost

Hi,

I am considering booking trip from 25th October through to 8th November 2019. Looking to do it all myself as opposed to fly drive last time. I am trying to get an idea of car hire so I can get an overall cost. 2 weeks with 5 of us 3 adults and 2 children. We had a 7 seater last time so would want something similar. Ball park figures would be greatly appreciated or pointers in the right direction to look.

Kind Regards

Peter

Book the cheapest price you can find now with a company who offer free cancellation so that if the price goes down you can cancel and book with who ever is cheapest .Do a google Search for Virgin Atlantic car hire usa,Alamo brits,Discount Florida car hire for a start then once booked continue to check prices.

OP. Whoever has the best price changes by the day. It can be that a rental for the first week say of Oct will be cheap with Virgin. The second week it could be Andy etc etc

It's all down to research and constantly checking. I will do some research for you tomorrow morning when I'm on the PC not this iPad.

It seems Alamo Brits is dropping nicely for Oct/Nov prices.

Peter.
I have had a quick look for a 7 seater and these are with Alamo so you pick your own vehicle
Andy who advertises on here £570 - 1 driver
Brits £821 - 2 drivers BUT an 8 seater £565 - 2 drivers
Virgin Atlantic £590 - 2 drivers
Netflights £562 - 1 driver
Auto Europe £586 or £527 with Dollar - 1 driver
Carflexi £587 or £535 with Europcar - no! - 1 driver

This is just a flavour, as you can see Brits has a glitch and you can get an 8 seater cheaper than a 7 seater. They would certainly allow you to ditch that and take a 7 seater anyhow.

If it was me I would grab the £562 Netflights deal if you only want 1 driver or the 8 seater glitch with Brits at £565 if you want 2 drivers.

Plus you need to check out uscarhire and usrentacar for prices.

Or you could opt for the £527 Dollar deal with Auto Europe. The reviews for Dollar are rising but you will have to go to the desk, with Alamo you dont.

Hope this helps.

Hi All,

Just had a quick look at Brits Alamo and if I'm reading it correctly 8 seater for my dates is coming up at £565. I don't want to make a decision late on a Friday night but unless i am missing something I will be happy to go with this. Hope this doesn't come across as being lazy but am I right in thinking that this has all the cover I would need (in normal circumstances). Also I assume I pay in advance and if so do I have the right to cancel and re book if price goes down. Conscious that if this is a glitch then that may be unlikely. thanks in advanced for any comments.
