We stayed at the Atlantis for ten nights last summer - it was amazing ! I also see Fairmont The Palm has good prices for and do a family type room ( ie two rooms ) - is highly recommend club rooms and half board

Thanks all will take a look at all the suggestions - wish I’d just booked Florida now it’s so much easier.

We're booked to go to Sofitel The Palm at Feb half term. We have a 2 bed apartment booked as our DD16 is getting way too old to share a room with us. We got a good deal on half board with Emirates Holidays

my cousin lives out there so I've been a couple of times. Recommend going for brunch at their weekend (Thurs/Fri?) for huge buffets and unlimited drinks. The "brunch" is some of the hotels lasts all day. I would stick with the hotel beaches and not the public beach. For drinks it's a bit cheaper around the irish pub complex a lot of the ex pats drink there. Ate a few nice meals there including a good curry. I took a trip off on my own to the souks when my cousin was at work - I wouldn't recommend doing that again! Recommend going on one of the rib ride boat trips from the marina which takes you out to the palm. Good fun. Water park is good but nothing like the parks in Orlando. Can't comment on the hotels as I've only stayed at my cousins place. I liked the Mall and definitely a trip up the Burj Khalifa - buy a ticket in advance to save huge lines.

That’s interesting you say that about the water park because we stayed for ten nights at Atlantis last year and thought it was way better than Florida water parks

We stayed at Atlantis recently and loved it.
I agree about the water parks being better than Florida.
Will definitely go back.
We also stayed for one night on the QE2...which is berthed at Port Rashid...really enjoyed it.
It was something different
It made me feel so emotional when on-board with all the history that comes with it.
You can get some really good deals for her at the moment as she is having a soft opening.
