Only the front ones. The rear ones are for emergencies I believe.

Its the second door on the left of the plane between the front of EC and the rear of PE which is used for boarding and disembarking.

Always choose seats as far forward as possible and be ready to exit with your bags before the stampeding horde blocks you in your seat! :-) There is always a queue at US and UK immigration. US immigration takes longer as adults have to have fingerprints scanned and your photo taken so being last off the plane means +30 minutes extra queuing, plus other flights may arrive at the same time.

As above, 99.99% of the time it's door L2 they use for boarding on the MCO-bound 747's. Virgin normally use gates on the gates 80-87 pier of the terminal at MCO, but when it's really busy you can get allocated gate 90 - this is the A380-ready gate and has 3 jet-bridges so they can use more than one door should they so wish. Think the girlfriend (Virgin crew) has seen it happen once & this was when gate 90 had just been reopened following the building works, so was possibly more a proving trial of sorts.
Back in the UK, at Heathrow in particular Virgin try to use gates with dual jet-bridges if possible so they can board Upper Class via the front door & Premium + Economy via the 2nd door. Nothing is guaranteed though as Heathrow allocate the gates on arrival. |
