No more please update

So just after chistmas I went to the doctor as I had low blood pressure after failing giving blood . Never mind I thought I have iron tablets . The doctor had diffrent ideas I did get some iron tablets but he said he thought that a sigmoidoscope world be a good idea check out my bowl and make sure that there nothing there . I booked appointment . I then get a call they canceling this appointment but they making a nother appointment to have not only a sigmoidoscope but one in the other end put down my throat on the 14 Feb what next

So today was the day I went to the hospital got there early appointment was 10.30 I got there 9 am checked in 20 minutes later called thoug.h to do the foams asked if I wanted to be sedated. I said no way as I wanted to see what happens I was shown to the changeing room given a gowed dressing and pair of shorts that was open at the back changed . Waited 40 minutes they where very bizzy then called though to theate. TBH it was not that bad . I was talking to the young lady that was doing both . Then it was over .

Everything was clear . I dont normally drink but me and my partner went and had a meal to celebrate .know I can really concentrate on planing our holiday this year

Kevin. I had one 2 years ago. An exhilarating experience!
Made even more funny by the Hospital Administrator walking in and telling the Consultant off for not submitting any invoices for the previous month whilst I'm lying on a bed semi naked with my bum on a big screen:

Best of luck it's all for the best.

It's all very fast & efficient, I've worked in Endoscopy and ours was like a production line, we'd do up to 80 procedures a day across 4 rooms (Gastroscopies (down) Sigmoidoscopies (up) and Colonoscopies (further up!) Cystoscopies (you don't want to know) plus some specialist procedures.

Mostly it's over very quickly and is an incredibly effective way of picking up on a multitude of issues, they'll pop the gastroscope down, that'll take around 10 minutes, then turn you around and pop the colonoscope up, and yes scopes are sterilised after EVERY procedure, we had our own HSDU department attached so a scope was turned around in 90 minutes!

Good luck, you'll be fine and it'll all be over before you know it.
