I'm going to have a Vaillant ecoFIT pure 25kW regular boiler fitted in March
I had the option of a Worcester Bosch one but apparently that has an electric cable which goes from the boiler to the hot water cylinder which would have involved emptying DS bedroom & removing carpet & floorboards to get it from one place to another which the vaillant doesn't need This boiler has good reviews which I'm happy with Also having hot water cylinder replaced at the same time as we have the original copper tank from probably when house was built so it seemed sensible to do it at the same time whilst system is already drained, and going for a Hive controller Edited at 06:16 PM. Yes it does
Old Baxi boiler still making a few weird noises since it's last repair on Tuesday so I feel it's definitely the right decision to have replaced and hopefully it will save a few pennies in running costs. We live in a really hard water area so I'm guessing that the hot water tank would be full of limescale, my kettle gets really scaled up so dread to think what is inside the tank |
