I have 13 years between my two children. Not planned that way, but youngest was not a mistake. I love having a large age gap, they both had my undivided attention and there has never been any sibling rivalry or arguments. They are both just like only children, although that is no problem.

I have 2 girls who are nearly 2 years apart. I always wanted 4 like the queen 😂 and have another 2 once I’d got the first two to school, but my health got a bit dodgy so we decided to leave it with the two we’ve got. They are amazing girls i always say I’m such a lucky mummy!

I have dd13, ds10 and ds4 and would say the youngest has probably had it the best as the others are like mini mothers to him and help him/play with him all the time, plus I had more time for him as the others were less dependent. Loved having a big gap this time and would say go for it!

Our eldest is 21, then we have a 13 year old, and our youngest is 3 - we also now have a 8 month old granddaughter now too! I love having a little one around - brings such life to a home

We have 8 children, the eldest two are 20 years old and twins. The others we adopted and range from 14 years down to 5 years. The bigger the age gap the more the older ones seem to love "mothering" the younger ones etc. They are all very protective.

My 3 boys are 16, 14 and 9. I found the smaller gap easier as the oldest two definitely got/get on better. My youngest has asd so that could be a big factor in why he doesn't "play" with the other two. Saying that on holidays etc the big two really look out for him and let him boss them around!

My friend has just had their 3rd, 13 years apart, (his son 13 and daughter 15. )

He completely forgot about how tiring it was and he's ruined due to lack of sleep and work.

Of course he has no regrets, but he wishes he did it 10 years earlier so at least his parents could see their 3rd Grandchild grow up and be actively involved like they were with the first 2.

There’s large age gaps between all of my siblings, my sister is 9 years older then me and my brother is 7 years younger then me. None of us got along until we were all living separately. There is still a bit of animosity between us all. But that’s got more to do with how we are all treated so differently then it is to do with our ages. We certainly have never acted like siblings though, we don’t do stuff together or call each other. Shame really, all my cousins who are similar ages are inseparable.

My kids are 28, 22 and 16, my dd was a surprise baby when I was 38, they all get along sometimes and argue too! Oldest has moved out but is coming back to save to go and work in Canada and be with his girlfriend. He is going to be sharing with his brother 22 for 6 months and I just know there is going to be lots of arguments. My older two boys take my dd16 out and I love it when they are all silly together. This is them in Florida, I just love this pic, they thought it was funny to look miserable as England had just be knocked out of the World Cup. Having a meal at Ohanas, they said why did you bring us to the happiest place on earth! I just love them!

My brother is 29, I’m 25 and my sister is 19, we all get on really well now, when my sister and I were both teens (like when she got to the point where she thought she knew everything, and I was older so thought I knew more, till I learnt to ignore her) we liked to argue, but I’ve always spoilt her - since I started earning money. And our brothers always been a protective older brother - but my brother and sister are very similar in that they are both Giant nerds.
I don’t know if the age gap was intended or just how it happened, but seems to work
