Mobile Hotel Cheyenne advice

Hi
Just looking for advice.
We are going 26-29 May and have booked Dream Castle on a cancellation. Just looked on Expedia and they have Cheyenne for £200 more, we are going with first timers and the little girl will be 4 and doesn’t know she’s going yet.
I am tempted to book Cheyenne as a surprise and wonder if anyone stayed there lately and is it walking distance to the park?
We usually stay in sequoia lodge but too expensive!
Can breakfast be requested when arriving at Cheyenne and is it a nice breakfast?
Thanks

We've stayed there several times on our 'girls trips'- the last being last year. We like it, the rooms were refurbed a couple of years ago and are comfy (there are pics in the link below). The bbq buffet restaurant is good (if noisy) and the bar, lobby (with kids area) and shop are good too. Theres a play area. The walk to the parks takes around 15 mins - but its a nice walk along the riverbank and past the lake. We always walk rather than waiting for the buses that drop you before the village. We've stayed at Sequoia and Santa Fe too, and Cheyenne is fine for us.

Hotel Cheyenne is walking distance to the parks, it takes about 15 minutes. It a really well themed hotel and I think your 4 year old would love it; it feels like a real wild west town.

You can add on buffet breakfast but it's quite expensive; you would have to do this when you check in and you can add it on for one or more mornings this way. It's a full buffet that includes croissants, bread, meats, cheese, cereals and some hot items too.

Thank you for the replies, I do like a breakfast in the morning so don’t mind paying, do you know if you can request a kettle as I have to admit I do like a brew at night?
Thanks

Yes you can, just ask at reception. They sometimes ask for a security deposit but will then arrange for one to be brought over.

If you're lucky though there may be one left there from a previous guest, we've had that a couple of times.

My children were 5, 6 and 9 when we stayed in the Cheyenne at Christmas, and the walk from our bedroom door to the park was 12mins. We took the bus the first day but didn’t bother after that! We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast and no one seemed to mind the day I organised croissants and rolls with jam to take with us to the parks 🙈

You would possibly get free half board at the moment on those dates? From spring (I think it’s April? ) the free breakfast is the buffet in the hotel.

The OP is booking on Expedia so it will just be a room only booking.

for a first time I would say rebook the cheyenne. Personally the Dream Castle is a good experience but the shuttle bus will be crammed most of hte time and will be horrific at the peak times. The shuttle buses for the disney hotels are more frequent and go direct. For the "partner" hotels they are shared and are at a longer schedule. Cheyenne is walkable (and 4yo carry on shoulders after dreams) - but will have no issue with shuttle queues most of the time. The rooms are more basic at the Cheyenne but the overall theming is nicer.

Our first ever trip was via the Dream Castle and we still loved it though.
