if i'm being completely honest, having had a "free" dining plan last year, I'd rather book on another offer altogether (ie a bigger discount or a free under-12s deal) and that way I'm completely free to eat where I want when I want, and not have to consider whether its on a dining plan, as there are so many which are not at DLP. But its horses for courses isn't it, the "free" dining plan deals are obviously very popular as DLP keeps offering them, all year round.

I really like the offers with half board. When I go to DLP I want to try out at least one table restaurant I didn't visit before, and paying a full menu without vouchers always hurts so much when I see the bill.

We’ve just booked with the French site for May half term - £700 for 4 nights 5 days, 2 adults & 2 children. We decided to go for Santa Fe - my first choice would have been NPB with the German offer, but the % off dropped to 5% while dh was dithering about it, so that was out. We’re supposed to be budgeting this year anyway, so realistically dh was never going to agree to spending £1300 on NPB with HB, especially since we prefer buffets to table service.
We’re not getting a meal plan at all, which will be weird. As above, I don’t like seeing the massive bill after a meal; much nicer to just hand over a pile of vouchers, so we’ve always added a meal plan before. We’re taking breakfast things and our little camping fridge with us, and eating in standard buffets / maybe the odd counter service.
