We're here sitting in the studios waiting for the show. Tbh you wouldn't know there's a coronavirus epidemic. People are behaving normally and I've only seen 2 face masks.

Take hand sanitizer, but be aware (not something they're sharing publicly, which is quite naughty, in my opinion) that after 3 times of using it becomes ineffective, so make sure to do a thorough hand wash with soap and water regularly. Xx
Could you share a source for hand sanitizer becoming ineffective after three uses please?

I work in a nursing home. It's part of our infection control training. I can't cite a specific source. I guess a Google search might throw it up. I think the point is it's better than nothing, but after 3 uses you really need to use soap and water. X

Anti bac is pointless against a virus?!

Just wash hands with soap and water as usual.

Sharing false information is really dangerous in my opinion.

As long as the hand sanitizer is at least 60% alcohol it is effective against viruses.

And it becoming ineffective after three uses is absolutely false.

Obviously it’s ideal to be washing hands regularly - but I don’t think it helps to spread false information.

Does it have to be alcohol though? I use some quite expensive hand santiser from Eco Hydra, which I see gets nothing but praise, also being one of the only hand santisers effective against Norovirus, this contains zero alcohol.

ecohydra/ << This is the one, it's the hand sanitiser foam I use.

If it has 60% alcohol in it, yes. But do they all?
Interesting post though.
People are panic buying hand soap - any hand soap and anti bac gel, so most people can’t get any atm.
I’m just saying as the government are, wash hands with soap and water often and thoroughly, as people should do anyway.

Slightly off DLP, here but I am surprised they are doing or seem to be doing nothing.

I decided to down tools last week and head up to Blackpool for a few days. They have a big Wetherspoons up there called The Velvet Coaster. I was sat on a row of tables just opposite the bar browsing on my pad as you do. I noticed twice about an hour apart two different staff members cleaning all the handles on the doors, stair rails and the input machines for the debit cards and tills etc. Spraying some kind of cleaner. I stopped a staff member and said, cleaning because of Coronovirus and she said yes. Every hour they basically clean the areas most likely to be touched by a number of customers. Such as door handles etc. Even the toilets were being done.

I have to admit it took my by surprise but at the same time I thought it was a really good and proactive thing to do. I am surprised Disney don't do something similar.

I of course realise it's a much bigger monster etc.
