Thanks for the replies. I’ve made them turn off any WiFi they aren’t using - it makes sense. The only black spot we know about is on the loo 😂DS discovered that!
We can’t switch our provider at the moment cos when we spoke to the sky people they set us up a new deal so we are tied in for a while yet. |

I used to be with BT, plugged in, direct to the router we were getting around 70mbs and on wifi, furtherst from the router were getting around 30mbs. We moved over to virgin, and although connected direct to router we get around 540mbs, further from the router it could drop to single figures. We bought one of those gadgets that you plug into the mains socket and basically use your mains wire to transfer the wi fi signal. It did sort of work, we could get 20 - 25 mbs. I bit the bullet and bought a new router (Asus RT-AC1200G+ Router ) we now get around 230mbs at the further point from the router - well worth the money, it was around £85 last year.
