Provisional DLP Trip
We're provisionally going to DLP 14th - 16th June as:
We haven't booked yet, and can't until April 12th because I won't have my student loan (which I will miss, a lot) until then but this is what we are planning: Getting there - I study in Kingston-upon-Thames and my mum lives in Poole, so at the moment I am thinking that mum should drive up to me on the Sunday afternoon, I cook dinner and make sandwiches/a snack for the journey then we either get the train or nightbus into central London first thing on the Monday and then get the Eurostar; or we drive down to Dover and get either a Ferry or the Eurotunnel (I'm leaning more towards Eurostar or Eurotunnel as I get very bad seasickness) to Calais and drive to DLP (mum has said she doesn't mind driving). I just need to price up how much fuel will be and ferry/eurostar will be and decide the cheapest way for us to do it. Also, if we take the car, we can go to Auchan at Val d'Europe and pick up a few things for the hotel room and my favourite chocolate biscuits - Mikado dark! Hotel - Sequoia Lodge, we have stayed there before, and I like it and I'm paying; so what I say goes; also (actually, mainly because of) the fact that it has a hot tub and I like to rest my feet in one at the end of a day We should hopefully get to DLP by lunchtime, check in if we can and with it being a Monday I'm hoping that the park shouldn't be too busy and at the very least should be able to get a few rides in! We haven't been to DLP since 2002 so I know a lot has changed! Any tips? |

Best tips I can give you are
Make the most of the Extra Magic Hours as you are staying onsite Plan your day at Disney Studios if you want to do all the shows - we usually pick up a show timetable the evening before, work out which shows we are doing and work out the rides around them Get in early to do Crushes Coaster - there is no fastpass and queues get MAD! Check out some of the trippies for ideas - I always pick up tips from these ENJOY your trip! - the best tip ever |
