Also...We are staying in SL -is there any difference in Beaver Creek and Hunters Grill? Both menus look the same.
I've stayed at SQL 3 times, twice in the month of July and once at Halloween and Beaver Creek has never been open for dinner. It has always been Hunters Grill when I've been there.

We stayed at HNY on our last trip and ate at Parkside Diner, I much preferred the food in Hunters Grill

Thumbs up

Ok great - thanks! We'll try and fit it in our stay seeing as we're staying at SL...What sort of food can we expect? And is it the same for lunch and dinner?

We arrive around 11.30/12 on day one so may check in and go for lunch before going to see the parade.

Hotel restaurants are not open for lunch.

I would suggest nipping into Earl of Sandwich on the way through the Village and then hitting the parks.

Oh ok, i don't fancy spending money on food when we already have vouchers i don't think we'll use up (breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner)...so i'll have to find another place open for lunch and accepting full board plus vouchers.

There should be plenty of restaurants open in the parks. I would suggest Plaza Gardens or Agrabah Cafe as they are buffets and won't take up too much park time! A table service restaurant can easily take two hours for a three course meal.

Last week the Hunter's Grill was serving:
A selection of salad items (veg / waldorf salad, mixed veg salad, potato salad etc)
Tomato soup,
lots of breads
olives, capers, gherkins,
cold meats (big selection)
Shell on shrimp,
smoked salmon,
other shellfish (?snails / winkles type)
Hot entrees:
3 different pasta dishes
roast beef carvery (BIG slices, but was rare - fine for us, but not everyone)
Chicken (in lemon / honey sauce)
Stuffed rolled turkey
Pork Ribs,
Lamb chops
3 different fish dishes - salmon, plaice and ?gournod
roasted new potatoes
potatoes au gratin
rice (wild and plain)
pasta and meatballs
then chips, chicken nuggets, pizza, sausages

Desserts:
big cheese platter with some crackers/bread
fruit
chocolate cake
coconut cake
carrot cake
fresh crepes & waffles with chocolate sauce
ice cream
creme brulee (being blowtorched there in front of you)
and a few different bowls of sweets/bon bons!

That's what I can remember, certainly not exhaustive! My guess is it changes most nights, but that was what we had last week..
Hope that helps?
