What would you do?
We have booked Endless summer surfside for 10-24 August 2020 have universal tickets and planning on getting SeaWorld and maybe doing Mickey's Halloween party. So my question is would you book a night at one of the premier hotels for the express passes? It's our first time to Orlando we are 2 adults and 3 boys who will be 4, 9 and 16. Thanks 😀

Hi
I would only book the night at the premium hotel if it is not going to dent your budget. You will be onsite so can make use of early entry and could easily focus on doing a couple of major rides per day during late evening or early morning, when it’s quieter. Xxxx |

If your park focus is Universal for the trip anyway no. You’ve got plenty of time to spread it out. If you’ve got extra cash and are doing Seaworld I’d be more inclined to pay for the coaster front of line passes there. My DD has an absolute blast with one of those one year. She is a coaster junkie and had about 16 rides on her favourites. Her brother kept up until about ride 12 then he was done 🤢

We are staying at the same resort with the same dates. We are also not doing Disney apart from the Hallowe’en party. I decided to book HRH for 1 night to get the Express passes and it was only £286 on Expedia. For my date you could upgrade to a club level room for £5 extra! This includes breakfast, snacks and drinks in the club lounge. I also got cash back. Hopefully the price hasn’t changed.

I wouldn't book it, with early entry and that time of year it should be a little quieter. Though the new ride will open so that park may be busier but locals and Americans don't generally go early early.
Get up early, do the rides and then relax by the pool

If you were only doing Universal for a day or two I would say Yes but you have two weeks which will include early entry so will have ample time. Your second week should be quieter than your first too. Enjoy!

I wouldn’t. As others have said you have the whole holiday to enjoy Universal. You may also find that you resent those days you have to queue with everyone else!

Thanks for all your comments, I think we will follow your advise and make use of early entry especially since our youngest does not sleep in 😁

I think I would still want express passes because I don't want to spend my holiday in a queue however much time I have there. However in your situation I think I would make the most of early entry and if the queues are very long just buy express passes whilst you are there we have bought them just for the day before now.
