Dvc boardwalk studio standard view

I’m still waiting for boardwalk for next May. Looks like there is still availability but no owner for the points.

I emailed them yesterday and got this response

‘I am unable to give you an exact position in the queue. However, you have moved up since you joined the queue and you are getting closer to the front. A stay at the Boardwalk Standard View Studio for May 23-30, 2020 requires 104 Boardwalk points to be booked. This is a very reasonable amount of points and just to clarify, most of the requests that are ahead of yours in the queue, are for more points than your request.’

Does this mean that if they have someone looking to rent out the number of points we need but they aren’t enough for those ahead of us in the queue, that we’d get them?

Really don’t know how long to keep waiting.

I believe that they are saying that yours is a reasonable amount of points to source from owners and if that amount came available give or take a few points either side you would jump the queue ... as others before you might require 200-300 points for the reservation... it may also be that some in front of you only want 12-30 points for a short stay but they wouldn't expect an owner who has around the 100 points to accept that reservation.. hope this helps but Standard View is hard to get most times...

Ive rented mine out a few times over the years with Daves and happy with the price and how quickly they are snapped up..only this year he rented out over 400 points for me and they were all rented out in 3 days over 3 bookings... I know through talking to them, their is some supply issues as they are becoming the number one company for renting or renting out DVC points and many people who use them return again and again... to give you an idea of their operation mine were rented out from people living in South Korea.. Yes I agree Daves is an excellent company, I have nothing but praises. I once had excess banked points on a resale contract rented out with him and money in my Paypal within about 6 hours of DVC putting those points in my account.
I just think the money he pays renters hasn't kept quite up with demand and rising dues, but I'd still go straight to him myself for the convenience.
