Northern European - Currency?
We are doing the DCL Northern European this year and I wondered what people do about currency when visiting the ports? I believe that neither Denmark or Norway have the Euro but their own Krone?
I am wondering if it is possible to get by without or if we should get some of each before travelling?

I think it depends what you’re planning to do when ashore. I took a small amount of krone for Denmark & Norway but used a credit card for more expensive purchases. I changed any unused krone on the ship into US dollars ready for the next visit to WDW.

We did a similar cruise 3 years ago, visiting Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
I took a small amount of currency for each, which I used for souvineers and the odd coffee and snack.

We are on this cruise on 18th August and plan to take a few euros if we have some left from out July holiday which we can use in Amsterdam then the rest we will use our clarity card or draw cash out with it if needed.

We took no currency to Norway and used a credit card even for coffee and small souvenirs

You could get a Starling or Monzo account...money remains as sterling in the account and then use it to draw money out at ATMs in relevant country... better rates than most

Thank you all. Will probably just use our cc and Nationwide debit card if we need to withdraw a small amount of cash
