Mobile Changing onsite to offsite

Posting here as it may be more forum specific being accommadation.
Ive booked 2wks in may 2020 at pofq with ugraded qdsp for my 4yo and i, also have a $200 gift card. All in im nearly 4.5k. My dilemma is do i keep what i have or do i swap it to a villa? My villa pros are it will most likely be cheaper and we will have our own pool and can chill out. Help 🙈🙈

Tracey I think it depends, car? No car then on-site is always going to be easier to manage. I've no idea what a Villa costs /week but no matter which way you do it the constants are: the price of the tickets & the cost of food. Even supermarket food costs are high at the minute but offsite eating is way cheaper than onsite , having priced it both ways, we have always found that it's the "extra" $200 from the GC that can make the difference. Is the upgrade really worth it?
Ds has paid £3600 for POR upgraded this Sept so £4100 sounds a lot.

How do you think you are going to be planning your days?

One of the benefits of being on site with a small child is that you can quickly get back to your hotel. In my opinion it makes it a lot easier to spend the morning at the park, pop back to the hotel to relax by the pool for a couple of hours, then go back to the park in the evening.

Work out your costs carefully including food. Car hire parking petrol etc. And then you can make a real comparison. It may be cheaper but it might not.

on top of the villa cost you need to add

£838 park tickets
£400 car hire
£350 parking
£1400 food (at £100 per day)
————
£2788

Assuming you wouldn’t have a car if you stay onsite.

So I don’t think your savings will be very much. When you add on the cost of the villa

However. You will definitely have more space and your own pool so it is a different kind of holiday and it really depends which kind of holiday you prefer.

Is it just the two of you? I think I’d feel a bit lost in a big villa with just two of us. But I know some people do like it
