Millennium falcon eemh

Entered galaxy edge this morning and the wait time was still 2 hours long with only hotel guests allowed in. We queued for about 40 minutes before realising there was a single rider line. We jumped in that and was on the ride in 20 minutes. In our opinion it’s not the type of ride you need to be with your family unless the kids are under 12. So anyone getting there early don’t join the massive queue just head for the attraction entrance single rider line and enjoy. By the way there’s 2 small flights of stairs and then your at the front of the ride queue. Also due to the ride occupancy being six there were many single riders joining in groups of 2 or 3 to speed the loading up.

That’s good to know as I won’t go on simulators so Hubbie can go on his own

I was gutted as we flew back on Aug 6th and could see it all behind the fences. A friend of mine is over there now and went on it yesterday, he said the fact you have to play the role of the pilot, gunner or engineer is a bit distracting as are the falcon's windows. Said for a devoted fan its worth the long wait but for the casual fan perhaps not.

We went this morning for eemh and from getting in the park to being on the ride was 60 minutes. Not sure but the normal ride line has some very interesting stuff to occupy your eyes on the way to the ride, not sure if single rider would give you the same experience

Good tho it is to get on using a SR line you do miss such a lot of the build up b4 the ride, but if your not interested in seeing all the other stuff fine.

It is worth knowing that the single line isn’t always open, when we were there they were only opening in sporadically

Were you given the engineer role? My experience with single rider in Disneyland is that because you're the last people in the group you tend to be given engineer (as it's the last role distributed). Maybe something to note if people want to be the pilot.

It's worth noting you also miss the pre-show if you do single rider and it's pretty cool.

We went in on Saturday morning at round 7:30 am from start of entering the park to getting off the ride was an hour, Both Hubby and I were pilots , the theming is amazing, however if we had to line up for a long time I would be happy being an engineer, didn’t really feel like you were 👩≈✈️ ! Even as non star wars fans we could appreciate the wonder of galaxy edge.

We were there for opening day. We got a reservation for Droid Depot, it not il 9.30pm, so we couldn’t face getting there for opening at 6am. We arrived at the park at about 2pm and entered the virtual queue for a time slot to go in to Galaxys Edge. We went to the Frozen singalong at 2.30 and while in there got a notification to say we could go in to GE! So the wait was minimal. We looked around and then queued for 2 hours for Smugglers Run. We thought it was well worth the wait. We mooched around a bit, then went back to the main park for our fastpasses and went back to GE about 7.30pm and asked if there was any chance of changing our slot for Droid Depot. They instantly put us in the inside queue, no problem. We were expecting carnage, but decided to go for it’s we were flying home the following day, it was well worth it and nowhere near as busy as we expected it to be.
