Cool cool cool!

Really lovely idea Jason, perhaps you could call POFQ and ask them if anything like what you mentioned could be done...I think though that the carriage alone is pretty special, and maybe the 'driver'(sorry all you horsey types, don't know the proper term for a horse and carriage person! ) may know a secluded/ beautiful spot and hide a bottle of bubbly for you?

Really hope you get some info and are able to do that..not going to wish you luck, my instincts tell me you are a lovely chap, so she would be mad to say no!

I've posted about the carriage ride option before so I did a quick search and will post the details below. Keep in mind that the pricing in the post is from May 2009 so this could have (and likely to) been revised by now. This is a carriage ride that anyone can book so it isn't exclusive to engagements.

From a previous thread:

Carriage Ride

You can book a 30 minute carriage ride (they give you your choice of 2 locations [Port Orleans or Saratoga Springs] but this would depend on how early you book) and about half way through the ride the driver will stop and turn to you and say something like "My Lord I believe we've found the glass slipper". He would then pass you a pillow and on top of it would be a glass slipper and a tiara. You would then proceed to propose (You might be able to give the driver the ring but I could only confirm that you'd have to quickly do that at the moment you arrive for your ride and would need to be discreet about it so as not to ruin the surprise).

The cost of the carriage is $35 + tax
*You should tip the driver too...they might not accept it but they will appreciate you offering. Since this is a service it might be exptected.

The cost of the pillow/slipper/tiara is $174 + tax
The cost of the pillow and slipper only is $144 + tax

You would need to make two phones calls. One to book the carriage (407-939-8687) and the second to the florist to order the flowers and schedule the delivery (407-827-3505). After that is done you just show up on the day and enjoy it!

**If you ever get to watch the show Platinum Weddings do so. It is truly unreal what some people do for their wedding. Completely over the top!
