Corfu - any must dos

Hi next week DH and I should have been flying to Zante but after yesterday’s announcement we have now changed to Corfu and never been before. Hopefully we will get there!

We are mainly going for a weeks R&R but is there anything we should try to see or do in particular?

We are staying in Glyfada which I believe is a quiet place

We love Corfu. Haven't stayed on West Coast where you're going, but we have hired a car and driven around the island.

Paleokastritsa is on the west coast and has a beautiful beach.

I would recommend Corfu Town for a visit. There are bus services, or again use a hire car. It’s a lovely place to wander around, looking at the Greek life and finding a nice taverna. Kanoni and the 2 small islands, one of which you reach by a walkway to the famous little monastery are lovely.

We have usually stayed in the beautiful village of Kalami on the North East Coast. Very relaxing village and area. It might be a bit far from where you're staying.

Hope that helps a bit. Have a great holiday.

Another thumbs up for Kalami and Kassiopi, both situated on the north East side of the island. Fantastic views, well worth the drive if you are hiring a car. You could enjoy a lovely lunch & cold beer sitting at one of the many restaurants/tavernas in Kassiopi harbour. 🙂

We flew back from Corfu late last night.
We had a brilliant week, all the resorts are fairly quiet , the weather was amazing , the food great , the beaches beautiful and it felt so much safer than home .
We’ve already rebooked for next June (we have flights and a cruise booked for May to Florida but we’ve moved that to September instead , I want something booked with a good chance of going ahead).
