If you like Asian food then Inamo is really good.
We went to the one in Covent Garden for my birthday just before lockdown and really enjoyed it .
It’s small plates and you order via a tablet , tables are interactive too so you can play games and things .

Balans 60 in Old Compton Street will be fun, lively and food & service always good (plus a good celeb spotting place if you are into that - Lady Gaga often there (as was Amy Winehouse) and Naomi Campbell photographed there recently) but I go for the American feel about the place. Booking essential

Try Christopher's christophersgrill/
It's on the corner opposite the theatre where The Lion King is.
We've had dinner there a few times, it's always been fantastic, breakfast / brunch at the weekend is also great.

Thank you, I will have a look.

Just seen the menu and I looked at this last night as well. Looks lovely.

Too much choice

We have booked The Ivy at Chelsea Gardens for dinner on my birthday and going to go to Balans for lunch the following day.

For something a bit different have a look at Asia de Cuba. I’ve eaten here a few times and the food is excellent. It’s fusion food and you can get a great steak or a bento box. Their lobster mash is amazing. They focus on sharing plates - so you would order a few main dishes and sides for everyone to try. It’s in a luxury hotel in St Martin’s Lane and the decor is very nice. You can sometimes get deals on Bookatable. Oh and their mojitos are dangerous!

Just read that you have booked - have a great time!

My favourite London restaurant is Clos Maggiore, in Covent Garden, its the most lovely setting inside, and they have very reasonably priced set menus. The triple cooked chips or truffle mash are just amazing! I will make a note about the others recommended here though for future reference thanks! Enjoy your meals OP, good choices!
