A question for fellow ERF parents -When travelling with little ones what do you do about car seats?
What do you do about car seats when flying to DLP?
Both mine are ERF and I’ve looked into the options, and I’d like to know what you do. I’ve narrowed it down to: shuttle - plus - it’s disney, cons - long journey, no car seat Or prestige cars, pros - quick, easy. Cons - FF car seat they provide are awful, not recommended which seats. What do you do? Thanks

Whenever we've gone on holiday we use the coach transport provided.
We always use the Magic Shuttle in DLP, It's not a long transfer at all, really quick, and we've used public transport in this country so view it as the same |

Thank you! Do you find it easy to find and get on? I asked on Facebook and people said it was a nightmare as often you can’t even get on it and then you are stranded with little ones. The general advice was to avoid it. This was my first choice but they’ve made me really worry it’s the worse idea.

You can also get the train from the airport. I haven’t done it myself but I’ve read it’s straightforward.

Thanks Bev, I discounted the train just because people said that was the worse option as very busy and really odd times at the min. Plus I loath trains so it would really be my last, last choice.
I wanted to do the magical shuttle but folk have put me off. I just naively thought it would be like ME! 🤣

If the train times work out it’s very quick and easy (9 minutes to the parks).
I’ve also booked a shuttle in the past which never turned up (thanks RS Transport! 😒 ) so ended up on the Disney shuttle - it was well organised, no worries about being left stranded, but is really just a coach transfer - nothing specifically Disney related other than the logo 😊 |

The coach takes about 40 minutes. When we used it, we waited an hour in the blazing sunshine at the airport stop before grabbing a taxi instead. On the way back it was about 20 minutes late. It’s fine though, just a coach.
Our experience with the train wasn’t great either as we hadn’t prebooked tickets. The ticket machines wouldn’t take our cards, and the queue for service was over an hour long. If you prebook your tickets it should be OK though, if the times work for you. The only other times we have flown as opposed to Eurostar, we have used RS Transports who were fine. Don’t know what they are like for car seats though.

Would it be an option to take your own ERF seats to use in the car from the airport?
I totally understand your dilemma here, I am very firm that our LB has to be RF. We are fortunate that we are far enough down the county to drive the whole way there so haven't had to cross this bridge ourselves! |

We used the Magic Shuttle from CDG to Disney last week and were the only people on it. When we arrived at the bus stop it was already there (2:30pm departure) but set off around 10/15 minutes late probably because the driver was making sure no one else was getting on. I’m not a good coach traveller at all but the journey was absolutely fine and only took around 40 minutes.

We can’t really, I did consider it but they’re are Axkid mini kids and they are huge, expensive and heavy and there would be two. It’s just too much pay extra for and to cart two kids, luggage, two car seats and then expense of hiring a car on top for a 4 day trip. Kids are top end of ERF as they’ll be 4.5 and 6.5 when we go so not very young any more. I just feel the coach would be better for us as first timers as it’s most similar to Orlando. Gah! I don’t know! Do you like DLP?
