Have easyJet cancelled many Lanzarote flights ? And if so , how much notice
Just wondering whether people have had their easyJet Lanzarote flights cancelled ?
And if so , how far before the proposed flight was it cancelled ? I have some half term flights to Lanzarote . Now I know there may be more chance of half term flights going ahead but just wondering what the procedure was ?

Thanks
Just been looking at the terms - so you can change for free 14 days before the flight , but within 14 days it’s £32 per person per flight which is pretty much what we paid So I guess we need to try to determine if they are likely to cancel or not and take a punt because no doubt they will cancel 13 days before the flight ( if they are going to cancel ) We paid £260 for all flights and could put towards a flight next year , or if they then cancel , we could get those flights effectively free - if I understand correctly ?

Are the flights still showing as available to buy? If they show as sold out, then this means it's a very high likelihood they will cancel.
We've had loads of trips cancelled by Easyjet this year and have done very well out of it thanks to their generous scheme of being able to book for practically any destination at any time for no extra cost. We had flights to Krakow in June that were cancelled, cost around £115 for the two of us. We've changed them to flights to Tenerife next Easter that should have cost over £800. Similar story with Ibiza, were due to go in October but that was cancelled, we're rebooked to go next September. Prices should have been £650 (madness! ), our original flights cost £135. Hopefully you'll find out soon what is going on. |

They are showing as still available to buy .
I notice some other days are highlighted as selectable but then when you click through then say n/a - I was assuming these are already cancelled I was considering looking at patterns of other n/a ones and risking buying the equivalent days ( midweek ) in the hope they do cancel and I can grab myself a bargain Does that sound feasible ? Or do you think they will have already decided which to cancel and hence blanked out rendering my ‘ cunning plan’ a bad idea?

No idea, sorry. Depends on how much of a risk taker you are I guess!
One thing I would say is log into your booking every day. I saw my booking was cancelled by doing this, the email took a couple of days to get to me. By that point I had already rearranged my flights! You only need one of the flights to be cancelled in either direction (assuming you booked them together as a return of course) to be able to change your booking for free. |
