C&L WDW and Disney Cruise Trip Sept 2019 - Day 9 - more US/IOA

Day 9 - US/ IOA

We were planning to get up early and try to get on Hagrid's again. It was the first day we have both struggled to get up but we got up at 7 anyway. We were checking out of universal the next day and could've done Hagrid's early then instead but decided to do it today so we could have a lazy morning tomorrow.

We got to the park again at 8, it was busier than the day before which surprised us as it was a Monday. We waited for opening, we were let in at 8.50 and power walked to Hagrid's. We were front row of the second car of the day whoop ! Front row is amazing, my favourite ride we had been on so far.

We were off by 9.10 and went on flight of hippogriff, we had the whole thing to ourselves! The rest of Hogsmede was very quiet as everyone seemed to be in the Hagrid's queue. We then went on forbidden journey before getting the Hogwarts Express over to Diagon Alley.

We went to get some pumpkin juice as I wanted to try it. This was $7.45, its cinnamon flavoured so I loved it but Chris wasn't so sure.

We left Diagon alley and went on fast and furious, watched Shrek 4D and went on transformers. We wanted to go on the mummy but it took us a while to find it. It had been closed when we last visited for refurbishment so had no idea what to expect, it was very good, similar style ride to gringotts.

We went back into Diagon Alley and went on gringotts. We got the Hogwarts express back to Hogsmede and went for lunch in Mythos, we both had the chicken stingers.

We left the park, picking up our photo from Hagrids on the way out. This was expensive for a ride photo ($27) but I loved it and it was my new favourite ride.

We went back to our hotel for a relax and enjoyed the pool. I went back to the room after a while as I was getting too hot.

We got ready and went out to Antojitos in Citywalk for dinner at about 6. I had a glass of red wine and Chris had a beer. We had the guacamole that they make at the table, there was so many chips! We then had the combo fajitas for two, as we had eaten so many chips we were so full after we finished our fajitas. It came to $80 inc tip.

After we finished we headed into IoA, and walked over to WWOHP, stopping for some photos on the way.

It was already busy waiting for the 8pm show so we decided to see a later one. We went on Jarrasic Park then the hulk in the dark which was so cool! We walked round to WWOHP, the queue to get in front of the castle was huge so we walked round to the bridge which was much quieter. We had a great view and the show was amazing still, apart from this stupid lady who had her flash on by the corner of my eye which was so bright I was having trouble seeing!

We left the park after as the park was closing and went to Toothsome chocolate emporium as we wanted to try one of the cocktails we had been eyeing up the night before. I had a cocktail called wicked cherry and Chris had a old chocolate fashion, we both enjoyed them. They came to $30 plus tip so quite expensive but they were definitely a novelty.

We had a look round the shop and we bought a bit of chocolate covered bacon which was $7.19 so expensive but we had to try it!

We walked back to the hotel and started packing up our stuff as we were leaving tomorrow and then relaxed watching Moana (I know we are at universal but we found a channel which had constant Disney films ) and we tried our chocolate bacon. It was so nice, then we headed to bed.

Day 10 - Animal Kingdom

Your universal stay has been fantastic. You did so much but still seemed to have down time too! Thanks for posting x
