Question about BA and 60d Disney fastpass
Hello, I was wondering if anybody could answer this question for me?
We have booked a flight and hotel with BA staying at Hilton Orlando Bonnet creek for August next year. As I am aware, booking a hotel on Disney property entitles us to a 60d fastpass selection and extra magic hours. However, when trying to link our hotel reservation using the My Disney experience app, I am given an error saying that the reservation cannot be found. I have tried using both the hotel confirmation number and booking reference number provided to us on our hotel voucher but neither has worked. This has been ongoing for about 3 weeks now. I gave BA a call to try and get this sorted and they told us that we need to book disney tickets through them in order to get our 60d fastpass. Is this true or can I book my disney tickets elsewhere (from somewhere that is preferably cheaper) and still get the benefits of the 60d fastpass? |

I booked through disney and my reservation took over 4 weeks so perhaps wait a while if you have time?
Tickets are much of the same price everywhere but I believe you can book with anyone

It is not true that you have to book tickets through BA to get 60 day fastpasses. Anybody with tickets and staying onsite or in a designated partner hotel can book fast passes at 60 days. (BTW, your hotel is not on Disney property it is a partner).
Regarding your linking up, it could be that you are too early, it usually takes a few weeks but can be longer. It also could be that BA have not provided you with the correct reference number. This is why I only book directly with Disney, the one time I used a third party I ended up cancelling as I was unable to get the correct reference number in order to link up. You might need persistence. Edited at 08:34 AM. |

Thank you both for the clarification. I guess I will have to be a bit more patient!
Will give it a few more weeks and keep trying with linking the resort on MDE. If there is still no luck I will try contacting BA again and try and get it sorted with them. |
