I claimed via online chat with Lloyds this morning (available on their app, not the website)

They initially advised to go the ATOL route but when I pointed out that flight only wasn't covered by ATOL they simply asked for transaction date and amount and advised I'd have a reponse in 7 working days

Just a reminder for those caught up in the collapse of TC. Even if you only paid the deposit for your flight/hotel/villa via credit card, section 75 of the CCA gives you protection on the full cost of everything you paid the deposit on.

I will be claiming from Tesco too but I am at work at the moment, I'm hoping it's fairly simple.

You email: cbk@tescobank.com
Include the following information:
1. Your name
2. Your post code
3. Thomas Cook booking invoice
4. Last 4 digits of your credit card number
You should then get an automated email (mine went into spam) to say it has been received.

You can download and fill in the form on your computer, or print out and fill in, you need invoice and any e tickets, Thomas cook invoice is all we have used in the past, also print out the page from Thomas Cook website stating they are insolvent. It's a freepost return, it has to be in CAPITAL letters.
Thanks for this been trying to ring them on their dispute line.
The sixth time of trying(1 hour each time on hold) i thought i might DIBB and hey presto the answer thanks guys

We needed that email evidence to show to our bank as we had paid by debit card and we were hoping there was some protection, but sadly no. It would have cost us and extra £50 in cc fees to pay by cc, and guess how we have paid for flights ever since.
Its even better now as they are not allowed to charge extra fees for CC
