September Full Size SUV for September 2020 £800 for 2 weeks! Is that right?

We paid £350 for 12 days this year so was expecting for it to be around £400 for 2 weeks.

Anyone else finding prices for next year expensive?

We paid £560 for a mid size car (24 days) last March for our September holiday.
As time went by the price dropped a few times and we kept rebooking with AutoEurope.
A few days before our holiday the price dropped again and we upgraded to a full size car and paid £470.
Hopefully the same will happen next year?
We also looked at other companies and their prices were dropping as well.

Our Aug 19 and planned Feb 20 trip i have noticed a pattern with alamo.

Prices start high. Aug 19 16 nights dropped from about £800 down to £500. 10 nights in feb were over £500 when booked, currently at £320.

Book via somewhere with easy cancel and reboom. Check once a week and you will have it a lot cheaper by the time you go.

We’ve booked a full size SUV with Andy at DFCH for 21 days over Xmas and new year. When I booked in February this year it was £1050 it’s now down to £614. Booking with Andy has meant he cancelled and rebooked each time the price has dropped with no surcharge.

Checked again today and my feb booking which started over £500, was at £320 and just rebooked at £278. Not sure it can go lower than that! But i will keep checking!
