We stayed at riverside and loved it. We would stay at French quarter if we could because it's a lovely resort. The pool there is loads better for kids. You can always walk to riverside to and use facilities there too.

French Quarter all day long We stayed at POR in 2017 and POFQ last May. We didn’t feel the love for Riverside that many do but we absolutely loved French Quarter. Small, compact, nice pool and good food court.

Another vote for French Quarter. Can't wait to return there next year.

We're staying at POFQ again next year. Fab resort. Great splash fun pool area for younger kids. It's not far to walk to Riverside if you fancy activity there.

I’ve stayed at both multiple times. I prefer Riverside and hubby POFQ. However. To answer your specific query rather than our personal favourites which you’ve had a lot of... with a young family definitely POFQ. The pool is better for younger ones and there is an amazing splash play area. One bus stop and shorter walks to and from it from your room. Some big and colourful Mardi Gras theming. Do visit the food court at Riverside though and also spend an evening with Ye Haw Bob there. He’s very fun. The smaller resort and pool wins for a younger family though IMO. My husband carried a dead weight sleeping 5 year old off the bus many times our first family trip. The shorter the walk to your room with that joy the better!

POFQ - stayed here for the first time earlier this year and love the place. We have booked again for next May.

We are 2 adults and a toddler.

Note we have stayed in POR about 11 years ago and did really like it... but we have found home at POFQ.

Great pool and splash area for the little ones. Small resort with furthest away rooms only 4-5 min stroll from the main facilities.

Main facilities are great... food court is lovely.

Couldn’t recommend enough!

Another vote here for pofq. We stayed here when my son was younger and loved it. Pool is quite small so maybe not ideal for older teenagers, but perfect for little ones. Atmosphere was great, and like others have said, being a small resort it's easy to get around.
Beignets are amazing in the food court too!

We loved POFQ- pool was great- Beignets for breakfast every day-one bus stop is great- We are off to Riverside next time but only because there are 5 of us. Our only issue was ordering at the food court- it was small and with lots of different stations hard with young kids- however they now have mobile ordering so that's sorted. Also the boat gets very busy on the way back from DS in the evenings- we tended to bus it back and boat it to DS.
