or is it worth "walking" a booking in at some point? (i always frowned upon people doing this mind)

You need to put a different lead name on at time of first booking.

You can walk them in if you want, are you after a particularly difficult time or category?

Thanks for the clarity.

Yeah, we're looking at next september and ideally want to do a split between the Poly and Boardwalk but as we're looking at 18 nights, it's hard to walk in a non home resort alongside the home one as it'll dip in and out of my max point allocation. I think i'll just have to stick it out and hope all's okay at the time.

One thing I'm still confused about, if I have alternate lead bookers and we don't end up being able to get a split stay elsewhere, will they be able to allow us to keep the same room through the whole stay?

Yes, because at the point you give up on the split stay you call MS, change the lead names to match, and ask to merge.
