Disney cruise line transportation
Hello
We have just booked our first Disney cruise August next year just looking into the transfers... has anyone been collected by the Disney cruise line coach from their resort hotel and taken to Port Canaveral? If so, was this an expensive option? Thank you

No personal experience but I have read trip reports, and I know some people prefer to book their own transfer, so they can arrive at a time that suits them. Apparently the DCL coach arrives quite late.
That may no longer be the case though, just going by what I have read.

We have a Disney Cruise booked for this November. We've decided to just Uber to Port Canaveral from Disney as we want to arrive early and I believe the Disney buses arrive early afternoon. But we have booked the transfer for the return journey - cost was $39pp.

It is the same price as from the airport. You have to call though, online only offers return to the airport.
I haven't done it myself yet but have it booked for January. I gather you get a message about the pickup time the night before and they also collect your baggage. From what I have read, it is typically late morning or early afternoon pickup so there is time to spend some time in a park if you are on a fast route such as the Skyliner resort. I assume you would leave your hand baggage with the concierge. |

We have done this a few times and I find it easy and stress free but so frustrating that you get to the port so late. Last time they were clearing away all the lunch options when we finally got on board. Will do a private transfer next time. Transfer on the way back is ok though as usually doesn’t go till 9am back to WDW so you don’t need to rush breakfast.

We hired a car one way from Alamo at the disney car care centre, with fuel, tolls and extras it cost about $60 and we were able to stop on the way and pick up a few bits and pieces (and wine) at Target. The drive including stop took less than 2 hours, the roads were very quiet and Alamo offered a free shuttle from the disney resort to the CCC and from their office to the Port. Someone mentioned a one way surcharge when you drop a car at PC but in the past we have actually only found a surcharge for picking up at PC and dropping elsewhere. Things may have changed now though so who knows. If you hate the idea of driving in Florida this may not be for you, but it is a cheap option with added opportunity to grab breakfast and do a bit of shopping and still be on the ship in time for lunch.

Though I would bump this thread rather than starting a fresh
We’ve booked coach transfers with Disney from Polynesian to port Canaveral, how do we know what time we are getting collected and do we have to do anything prior to collection with our luggage? |
