Stateroom door magnets - DIY

I've had a little go at making some magnets for our (fingers crossed) upcoming cruises, now I just need to be brave enough to print them onto the magnet paper (89p a sheet in The Range!).

Any tips anyone on printing / drying or some good templates that are easy to download?

The only thing I would say is that whilst the magnet paper is fab, we found that it didn't always stick that well to the doors. We had better results when we laminated the image and attached a small magnet to the back with glue or tape.
PS- the images look fantastic and you will have an amazing time!

Thank you, I was wondering about doing that instead, the drying is worrying me, I just don't see how it's not going to smudge!

I'll order some little sticky magnets

I�ve just been doing some new ones today. We print on photo paper, cut, laminate then use the 3m sticky magnets

I�d agree with this method!

We also had access to a Cricut machine to cut out the shapes- but I realise those can be pricy!

I have a little machine that laminated and puts magnet on the back. I used it to make magnets for our last cruise 10 years ago and we have just pulled them out of the holiday box ready to use again. They all look great

The circuit machine is on special offer at Cosco at the moment.

You can buy rolls of magnetic tap that you cut to fit

Yes, the rolls of magnetic tape in The Works are great, just cur prices with scissors and it is self adhesive
