Soooo confusing! So we’ve booked parking with Cruise Passenger Services at Liverpool docks which appears to be right at the terminal. So are we thinking then, partner drops me, the baby and the bags off at the arena, drives to CPS and drops off the car, then walks back along the waterfront to us at the arena. We go through check in and testing at the arena, (what happens to our cases? Bag Drop like at an airport?) and then shuttle back up to the terminal on the bus, providing we’re all passed and approved to board?
Why can’t they just explain this when we’re using their recommended parking? ! So lucky there are cruises before ours that will hopefully report back. |

Does anyone know how long the walk is from the car park with Cruise Passenger Services to the Arena for check in? This could be a real logistical problem for us unless there’s a ‘reverse shuttle’ or taxis available. Uber wouldn’t work - they don’t operate where I live so have never used them!

17mins walk, 0.9miles according to Google maps walking directions. Looks to be nice and flat along the waterfront though.
Are we assuming that’s what we will need to do then? What about the cases? Do they get left at the terminal when dropping off the car or do they need trundling down the waterfront to the arena? |

As far as I'm aware parking via Cruise Passenger Services is near to the arena rather than the dock.
We're parking at the Ibis at the Albert Dock the same as we did when we were on the Virtuosa but the CPS website does provide instructions to park at the Kings Dock which is where the arena is and not where the port is. The instructions on the CPS website state: On arrival, drive directly to the ACC Liverpool – Kings Dock Car Park (The postcode for the Satnav users is L3 4BX or the co-ordinates – LAT:-53.396007 LONG:-2.99118). Where you will be greeted by the Liverpool Cruise Team. On entry to the Kings Dock Car Park, your baggage will be collected by our Cruise Porters and loaded for transfer to the ship, however, it will not be transferred until your Covid test results is confirmed negative. Once parked, you will be directed to the designated passenger Lateral Flow Test Centre, just a short walk away. Once negative result is confirmed, you will be directed to the passenger Check-In area whilst your baggage will be transferred separately to the ship, and delivery to your cabin. You will then take the shuttle bus to the terminal to board the ship. Certainly when we arrived at the arena to check in for MSC Virtuosa we could see people coming out of the multi storey car park by the arena with luggage and joining the line for check in at the arena. I presumed those parking in the multi storey had parked via the official cruise parking with CPS. |

Yes and Disney replied today with:
Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line vacation! I would be happy to assist you. The Port Arrival Time is when you may start checking in at the Arena. As you approach the Arena, follow the signs to the car park or drop off area as appropriate. The ship will be docked at the Liverpool Cruise Terminal, but please DO NOT head directly for the terminal. Luggage drop and check in will all take place at the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool. Once you have completed your check-in, you will be taken on the 5-minute bus ride to the ship. He may drop off you, the baby and your luggage at the arena and then park the car. Luggage tags were sent out. If you do not receive them by your sailing date, luggage tags will be available at the arena. I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further assistance with any other inquiries, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to sailing with you! |
