If I was going, I would be testing twice weekly to be sure as well as not going anywhere 😊
Thanks Floridarules. We got some tests from the pharmacy, but we have been too afraid to use them. Not because of the results, more about the thought of putting the sticks in your mouth then up the nose. I can't even put an ice lolly stick in my mouth. 🤒.

Just to reassure you, the test at the port is a nasal swab only. If you are doing test LFTs at home in the run up to your cruise, you can again just use it as a nasal swab.

Thanks for the reply. That makes us feel a lot happier about the test now. 😊

If you just do a nasal swab, is that still accurate?

If done properly yes! (With all the normal caveats about Lateral Flow Test versus PCR. However, the test at the port is a LFT nasal swab and only in one nostril. Practice with the NHS kits which you can order through the NHS app and follow the instructions carefully so that you use the proper technique. It’s really easy to do after the first go. Hopefully this will make you both a little less anxious about the testing procedure.

Thanks Claire for your help. That certainly makes us feel more at ease. We will practice at home a few times so we can get used to them.

Thanks again
James
