Cherry Blossom season starts towards the end of March, so very very busy with tourists in Tokyo. I love Japan .

When is Japan’s cherry blossom expected in 2021?

Tokyo – March 14
Nagoya – March 22
Hiroshima – March 22
Kyoto – March 22
Osaka – March 23
Sendai – March 28

taken from the times expert traveller

also because of all the blossom etc i have read this is not the greatest time of year to travel if you have hayfever/allergies

Definitely looking at September 2022 for our third trip

The last 3 years we have been concentrating on becoming mortgage free so we have done nothing since 2018 but we should be there by next year!

Thanks mate
I used to be all over the Japan forum but after some disagreements in general chat left, but I thought it a good idea to get back to Japan planning at least and stay away from the rest😂

We're looking at September 2022 for a Tokyo trip too. Was meant to be this year as a surprise trip for our son's 18th birthday, but have pushed it back to next September instead. The lure of WDW is also strong, but looking at the prices they've released today for 2022, I don't think that will happen. Time to see somewhere else - feel both nervous and excited so any tips and advice would be great!

Welcome too!

Nervous about what?
I was scared about food (am not a fish fan), signs in Japanese and not speak a word of Japanese.

BONUS - ticket prices for the parks are lower in Tokyo

More nervous about booking a DIY multi-centre holiday to country where the native language isn't English which isn't something I've done before. I'm sure the level of English spoken and ubderstood over there is pretty good though. It's just a bit out of my comfort zone.
We're vegetarian, but will just do research and I'm sure we'll find plenty of choice 😊
